Job summary

Mutinex in Sydney is seeking a Machine Learning and Software Engineer to design, build, automate and optimise the infrastructure powering data science workflows. This hybrid role blends software engineering with ML engineering to deliver automated, reliable ML pipelines for customers globally.

You will work across the stack, from infrastructure to internal tools, delivering end-to-end solutions with a focus on scalable, observable systems using GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI and SQLAlchemy.

Qualifications

• Experience building production systems including APIs, CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Strong Python skills with experience in ML lifecycle and data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP) and IaC tools (Pulumi/ Terraform).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and optimise ML pipelines and data workflows.
• Develop predictive modelling and forecasting solutions.
• Create scalable backend APIs and database layers.
• Architect cloud infrastructure and orchestration for multi-customer workloads.
