Mutinex is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Sydney to take models from research to production, delivering scalable features that help customers plan marketing investment. You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers and engineers across cross-functional teams.

You will shape customer problems, build reliable production services, and scale forecasting-driven recommendations while ensuring code quality and CI/CD discipline. Hybrid work in Sydney is available.

Qualifications

• Experience with ML lifecycle from training to monitoring.
• Strong Python skills and frameworks PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with time-series or Bayesian modelling (e.g., JAX, NumPyro) is a plus.
• Production systems, APIs, testing, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP) and IaC (Pulumi or Terraform).

Responsabilités

• Shape the customer experience: understand problems and lead solutions with PMs and designers.
• Bring models to production: turn data science models into reliable production services.
• Scale optimisation: build and scale forecasting-driven recommendations.
• Build backend services: design and maintain APIs and data layers (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy).
• Automate the model lifecycle: event-driven pipelines (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, ClickHouse).
• Protect model quality: automated checks to prevent regressions.
• Apply AI to workflows: build LLM-based agents to accelerate analysis.
