Job summary

MACA is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our mining team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will lead mine scheduling, planning, and design efforts to meet client requirements and MACA production targets, with mentorship for junior engineers and site personnel.

You will oversee drill and blast, coordinate safety and efficiency improvements, and contribute to tendering, budgeting, and life-of-mine planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in open pit mining operations, preferably in a contractor mining environment.
• Advanced proficiency in mine planning and design software, including Alastri and Vulcan.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine scheduling and short to medium-term planning to meet production targets.
• Develop, review and optimise mine designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical oversight for contract administration and performance monitoring.
