Job summary

ERM is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our global Perth team. You will provide open-pit technical and project management expertise to complete mining studies, mine planning, Ore Reserve reporting, due diligence studies and operational reviews.

You will work on multiple projects, ensuring safety and high-quality deliverables. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in mining or consulting, strong open-pit design experience, and familiarity with JORC/NI 43-101 reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mining industry or consulting
• Open-pit mine planning and design experience
• Experience with Scoping, PFS, FS and due diligence studies is a plus
• Familiarity with JORC/NI 43-101 and/or SK 1300 reporting
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Job description

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Senior Mining Engineer to join our global team in Perth. The successful person will provide open pit technical and project management expertise to complete mining studies, mine planning, Ore Reserve reporting, due diligence studies and operational reviews.

Experience

• 10+ years' mining industry or consulting experience
• Strong background in open-pit mine planning and design
• Experience in Scoping, PFS. FS and due diligence studies are a good addition
• Familiarity with JORC Code, NI 43-101 and/or SK 1300 reporting
• Ability to work on several projects and meet deadlines

Technical Skills

• Mine design (Deswik or Datamine), scheduling (Deswik, MineSched)
• Mineral Reserve estimation and reporting
• Pit optimisation (Whittle or NPVS)
• Mining cost estimation and financial analysis are desirable
• Risk assessment and operational improvements are desirable
• Proficiency with mining software (e.g. Deswik, MineSched, Whittle, Datamine)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mining Engineering or higher
• Member of AusIMM or equivalent preferred

• Consulting experience in a similar role.
