Job description

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Senior Mining Engineer to join our global team in Perth. The successful person will provide open pit technical and project management expertise to complete mining studies, mine planning, Ore Reserve reporting, due diligence studies and operational reviews.

Experience 10+ years' mining industry or consulting experience Strong background in open-pit mine planning and design Experience in Scoping, PFS. FS and due diligence studies are a good addition Familiarity with JORC Code, NI 43-101 and/or SK 1300 reporting Ability to work on several projects and meet deadlines Technical Skills Mine design (Deswik or Datamine), scheduling (Deswik, MineSched) Mineral Reserve estimation and reporting Pit optimisation (Whittle or NPVS) Mining cost estimation and financial analysis are desirable Risk assessment and operational improvements are desirable Proficiency with mining software (e.g. Deswik, MineSched, Whittle, Datamine) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with diversity High professional integrity and commitment to safety Ability to work independently Qualifications Bachelor of Mining Engineering or higher Member of AusIMM or equivalent preferred Ability to travel to mine sites Desirable Experience in different commodities and international mining projects Established industry network within mining companies, investors, and lenders Consulting experience in a similar role.
