Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a Principal Engineering Consultant in Mining Advisory based in Perth, WA. You will lead multi-disciplinary advisory projects, evaluate mining studies, and support financing and investment decisions across Australia and international markets.

You will engage with mining operators, financiers and boards, oversee project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development and proposal activities while driving technical excellence and client value.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior engineering, maintenance, asset management, infrastructure, or project delivery within mining.
• Strong stakeholder management with clients, investors and boards.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and mentoring.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Advisory & Evaluation: deliver financial, commercial, and technical assessments across mining studies, lender advisory engagements, due diligence, and investment evaluations.
• Project Delivery: lead and contribute to advisory projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Client Engagement: build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, communicating complex information to technical and executive audiences.
• Reporting & Recommendations: prepare and present technical reports, assessments and recommendations supporting financing and project development decisions.
• Business Development: support growth through client relationships, proposals, tenders, and identifying opportunities.
• Leadership & Mentoring: mentor consultants and emerging professionals, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
