Job summary

Mineral Resources invites a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to support lithium operations with integrated planning across pit-to-port horizons. You will bridge tactical planning and operational execution, creating practical mine plans aligned with mining, processing, geology, maintenance and logistics.

You will collaborate with site-based and corporate stakeholders to identify constraints, manage priorities and drive delivery of the operational plan in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated open-pit mine planning experience in an operational environment.
• Experience developing short-term or integrated mine plans and schedules.
• Operational mining experience is preferred.
• Experience in lithium, gold and/or base metals operations is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Practical and collaborative approach to delivering planning outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, track and drive yearly budget, reforecast and 5-Year-Plan activities.
• Develop and maintain integrated mine plans and schedules for the three-month-and-under planning horizon.
• Coordinate planning inputs across Mining, Processing, Geology, Maintenance, Supply, Projects and other stakeholders to produce executable plans.
• Identify operational constraints, risks and opportunities, and support mitigation actions and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor plan performance and compliance, investigate variances and assist with replanning activities to meet targets.
• Communicate integrated planning outcomes, assumptions, priorities and changes to site execution teams.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement, standardisation and automation of planning processes and reporting.
