Fortescue is seeking a Senior Mine Closure Planner to lead the development and delivery of Mine Closure Plans across the mine life cycle, ensuring WA regulatory compliance and alignment with sustainability goals. The role requires strong collaboration with studies, mine planning, environment, heritage and communities.
You will manage closure-related risks, contribute to land-use strategies, and prepare clear technical documents, cost estimates and procedures while spending occasional site visits.
Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

We are looking for experienced and motivated professionals in mine closure planning to join our Closure Team as a Senior Mine Closure Planner. This permanent role offers flexible working arrangements on a 5:2 Perth-based roster. As a key member of the team, you will take a lead role in planning and coordinating mine closure activities that meet regulatory requirements and support our sustainability and rehabilitation goals.
The role involves developing and maintaining closure plans throughout the mine life cycle, with a strong focus on managing closure-related risks through stakeholder collaboration, research, and preparation for progressive rehabilitation.
