Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Middleware Engineer to implement, manage and optimise enterprise middleware platforms that enable reliable integration and communication between applications, databases, services and external systems.

This role provides senior technical expertise across middleware infrastructure, application integration, APIs, messaging, web services, automation, security, performance and high availability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in middleware engineering and integration.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, REST, and messaging.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix, networking, and security controls.
• Experience with cloud or hybrid environments and IaC.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and optimise middleware platforms.
• Design secure integration solutions using APIs and messaging.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and platform modernisation.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
