Job summary

Avant Law, Australia’s leading specialist medico-legal law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Medico-Legal Advisory Service (MLAS). The role offers flexible daily/weekly hours, with a preference for a 4-day week and hybrid working.

Based in any Australian office, you may participate in after-hours rostering 2–3 times per year and possibly on public holidays. You will provide expert telephone and written medico-legal guidance, support the MLAS team, and help develop resources and

Qualifications

• At least 6–10 years’ PAE with post-admission medico-legal experience.
• Current unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class telephone and written medico-legal advice to members.
• Support the Avant Law and claims teams and staff on medico-legal matters.
• Collaborate with the Head of MLAS and other advisers on new resources and processes.
• Develop and maintain the health law knowledge database.
• Present to members and staff and contribute to website content and communications.
