Dr Kate Tyson's specialist gynaecological practice in East Melbourne is seeking an experienced Medical Practice Manager to lead operations, people management and systems.

This senior role requires proven medical practice management, staff leadership, and surgical workflow management, with a focus on patient-centred care. Full‑time or 4‑5 days per week, on‑site with some flexibility for occasional work from home, January start.

Qualifikationen

• 1–5+ years' experience as a Medical Practice Manager (essential).
• Experience managing staff within a medical or surgical practice.
• Strong knowledge of MBS items, theatre bookings, and surgical billing.
• Experience implementing process improvements and operational systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Australian work authorisation is required.

Aufgaben

• Managing day-to-day medical practice operations.
• Leading, supervising, and supporting the medical reception and administration staff.
• People management including rostering, leave management, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Coordinating theatre bookings, surgical lists, and specialist appointment scheduling.
• Overseeing medical billing, invoicing, patient accounts, and aged debt.
• Implementing and improving practice systems, workflows, and policies.
• Ensuring a high standard of patient experience and empathic care.
• Working closely with specialist to resolve operational and patient care issues.
