Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) for a 4-month contract at the Alkimos Desalination Plant. This is a site-based role demanding strong fabrication and SMP package delivery experience, coordinating contractors and stakeholders to maintain safe, efficient progress.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, have Tier 1 contractor exposure, and can work autonomously on major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong fabrication and SMP package delivery experience.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors is highly regarded.
• Experience on major infrastructure or industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Existing Australian work rights are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical package delivery across fabrication, SMP works and site execution.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to maintain safe, efficient progress.
• Review technical documentation, manage queries and help drive quality, completions and handover outcomes.
