Job summary

Laing O’Rourke seeks a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical/Hydraulics in Queensland to lead major mechanical and hydraulic work packages on large-scale projects. You will coordinate design, planning, procurement and construction with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, bring 10+ years of delivery experience, and demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities for a tier 1 contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience delivering complex construction projects.
• Strong expertise in design, constructability and project delivery.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major mechanical and hydraulic work packages.
• Manage planning, programming, procurement and construction activities.
• Drive constructability, commissioning and technical excellence.
• Manage project budgets, risks, forecasts and stakeholder relationships.
• Lead and mentor teams to achieve safe, quality project outcomes.
