Job summary

GR Engineering Services Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Ascot-based team. You will work with a multidisciplined group to deliver but not limited to mineral processing projects across diverse commodities, with regular site visits.

You will lead design teams on projects, develop conceptual layouts to detailed drawings, and ensure compliance with industry standards while coordinating with commissioning teams on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Proficient with standard engineering software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Work in a project team to meet design budgets and schedules, potentially leading small projects.
• Assist designers with conceptual development and detailed mechanical designs.
• Prepare and review data sheets, scopes and tender evaluations for equipment procurement.
• Review mechanical drawings and vendor documentation for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams on site to ensure smooth handover.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure designs are fit for purpose with cost and maintainability in mind.
