Job summary

Ausenco in Adelaide is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team as we expand in South Australia. You will lead mechanical design for multi-disciplinary projects, drive execution plans, and ensure compliance with project scope, timeframes and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in EPCM, experience with mineral processing plants, and strong leadership and client liaison skills to deliver innovative, sustainable outcomes for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and CPEng accreditation required.
• 10+ years in an EPCM environment with mineral processing experience.
• Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals advantageous.
• Strong leadership, client liaison and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
• Deliver technical solutions per project scope, timeframes and standards.
• Prepare technical reports on design issues.
• Develop mechanical work plan for project execution
• Manage and review Engineering Work Packages to meet budgets and schedules.
• Review and approve mechanical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings).
• Assist in developing project-specific procedures and ensure tool/codes compliance.
