Job summary

Canterbury Girls' Secondary College seeks a dedicated classroom teacher to deliver high-quality learning across year levels. The role focuses on planning, preparation and teaching to achieve strong student outcomes, using evidence-informed practices and reflective inquiry.

You will work within a supportive staff team, engage with families and the school community to promote student wellbeing and achievement, and participate in school-wide priorities and professional learning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Australian/Victorian curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning/implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating effects on student growth.
• Experience monitoring student learning and using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students/parents.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum programs within the school.
• Undertake additional duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Support student learning and wellbeing through data-informed practice.
