Job summary

Rosehill Secondary College in Essendon VIC seeks a classroom teacher to deliver engaging programs for Years 7–12 within a thriving, diverse school community. You will plan, assess, and reflect on teaching to improve student learning, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to curriculum development while upholding the College values of Respect, Initiative and Learning.

The role requires participating in school-wide activities and supporting student wellbeing through evidence-based teaching

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning using data.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated alignment with Department values and professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contributing to curriculum development and program evaluation within the school.
• Undertaking other teaching-related and organisational duties as required by the Principal.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties as appropriate.
