Job summary

Santos Limited invites a skilled Data Management professional to Brisbane, focused on fit-for-purpose EAM master data and OEC data governance within Midstream and Energy Solutions. You’ll lead data quality initiatives across the asset lifecycle, partnering with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations to unlock productivity and spend efficiency.

You’ll drive standards, QA for data implementations, mentor teams, and manage contractor performance while ensuring compliance with SMS and DOA

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Engineering and/or Maintenance Information Management in oil & gas, energy, or resources.
• Strong track record in SAP EAM Master Data Management, including data creation, quality assurance, and governance.
• Proven experience managing data across the full asset lifecycle—from Projects to Operations and Engineering.
• Hands-on knowledge of Operator Essential Care (OEC) data management principles and their application.
• Experience contributing to data standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong contractor management skills, with KPI establishment and performance oversight.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering & Maintenance to develop improvement plans that uplift data quality and drive efficiencies.
• Manage technical queries and data issues related to EAM Master Data regionally.
• Contribute to standards and processes for SAP EAM and OEC Master Data management, including mentoring others.
• Provide QA leadership for Maintenance and Engineering Data implementations per business rules.

What you’ll do:

Based in Brisbane within our Midstream and Energy Solutions (M&ES) Business Unit, this role is responsible for stewarding fit-for-purpose, sustainable, and industry-leading data management processes and systems, with a focus on productivity improvement and spend optimisation.

Key accountabilities include:

• Leading SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Master Data Management within the region, driving quality, consistency, and business value
• Leading Operator Essential Care (OEC) data management within the business unit, ensuring it is consistently applied, actively owned, and effectively governed
• Partnering with Engineering & Maintenance teams to develop and implement improvement plans that uplift data quality and drive efficiencies across Maintenance and OEC programs
• Managing technical queries and data issues associated with EAM Master Data within the region
• Contributing to standards and processes for SAP EAM and OEC Master Data management, including mentoring others
• Providing quality assurance leadership for Maintenance and Engineering Data implementations in accordance with business requirements and rules
• Supporting and driving the operationalisation of EAM Master Data governance and automation solutions (e.g., Prospecta MDO)
• Undertaking EAM Master Data quality assurance reviews and audits
• Managing contractor performance, including KPI establishment and performance management
• Ensuring compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS), Delegation of Authority (DOA), and Corporate Governance and Safety requirements

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience in Engineering and/or Maintenance Information Management within the oil & gas, energy, or resources sector
• A strong track record in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Master Data Management, including data creation, quality assurance, and governance
• Proven experience managing data and deliverables across the full asset lifecycle — from Projects through to Operations and Engineering
• Hands-on knowledge of Operator Essential Care (OEC) data management principles and their practical application
• Experience contributing to or leading data standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong contractor management skills, including KPI establishment and performance oversight
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams including field-based and office-based personnel
