RPS is seeking a Principal Marine Scientist to join our Perth team. You will lead the delivery of complex marine environmental projects, mentor staff and shape the future direction of our Marine Science capability, working with recognised specialists across the country.

You will manage technical and commercial leadership, oversee field programmes in WA and interstate, and collaborate on water quality, sediment quality and benthic ecology projects for ports, coastal infrastructure and energy

Formación

• Degree in Marine Science, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or PhD would be highly regarded.
• Extensive experience delivering marine environmental monitoring projects.
• Strong understanding of water quality, sediment quality and benthic ecology.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects and client programmes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the delivery of complex marine environmental and coastal projects from proposal through to completion.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government and private sector clients.
• Identify opportunities for business development and preparing proposals and tenders.
• Lead water quality, sediment quality and benthic ecology investigations, analysis and reporting.
• Implement QA processes against industry guidelines and standards.
• Mentor senior, graduate and early-career marine scientists to support technical excellence.
