Howmet Fastening Systems in Melbourne seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the site and drive end-to-end manufacturing and distribution performance. You will ensure safe, compliant operations and deliver against safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.

You will develop workforce capability, manage budgets, and coordinate with regional teams to support Howmet's broader objectives. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role at Clayton South.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management or related discipline.
• 10+ years in manufacturing; at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience leading a manufacturing site or major operation.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning and performance management.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality, regulatory compliance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen; budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and build a positive culture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Aufgaben

• Take overall responsibility for safe, compliant operation of the Melbourne facility.
• Provide visible leadership and promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute annual operational, manufacturing, revenue and workforce plans.
• Coordinate manufacturing and site activities with supporting departments to meet objectives.
• Oversee production planning, warehousing, distribution and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S, quality standards and company policies.
• Monitor performance metrics: safety, quality, delivery, OEE, productivity and cost.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead, coach and develop managers, supervisors and employees and address performance.
• Build workforce capability via succession planning and engagement.
• Manage site budgets, forecasts and OPEX with data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with regional/global stakeholders to support Howmet's objectives.
