Job summary

Loop Recruitment is supporting an established food manufacturer in Victoria, Melbourne, building a new 3rd Factory. We seek a hands-on Site Manager to join the team reporting to the COO, overseeing people, planning, quality and safety while driving output improvements and implementing best-in-class standards.

The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership, develop staff, manage planning, labour costs, and safety protocols, and be a resilient, agile leader ready

Qualifications

• Proven site leadership in 24/7 manufacturing (baking, fresh salad, meat) with measurable performance gains.
• Track record of stepping up operations and driving change.
• Proactive, solution-based mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN methodologies and safety compliance.
• Experience delivering CAPEX projects and site improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage labour costs and planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee people, planning, quality and safety on the site.
• Lead a multi-level team to improve output and standard.
• Oversee Planning function and staff performance.
• Develop staff and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive safety protocols and site SOPs.
