You will own the strategy, governance and delivery of Technology DR and BCM frameworks, oversee multi-cloud recovery, engage with executives and regulators, and shape resilience across critical technology

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in Disaster Recovery and resilience programs.
• Deep knowledge of APRA CPS 230 in regulated environments.
• Experience designing DR testing across multi-cloud environments.
• Experience managing tech recovery during incidents and outages.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise Technology DR and Continuity frameworks.
• Lead DR strategy, planning, testing and recovery readiness across complex cloud and hybrid environments.
• Drive CPS 230 compliance and resilience governance, translating regulatory requirements into practical technology outcomes.
• Lead business impact analyses and define recovery objectives for critical technology services.
• Oversee resilience, continuity and operational risk management across Platform Operations.
• Manage third-party and cloud provider resilience obligations, testing and assurance activities.
• Prepare executive, Board and regulatory reporting on resilience performance, risks and remediation activities.
• Act as the Technology DR Lead during major incidents, cyber events and recovery activations.

At Avant, technology resilience is critical to protecting our members, supporting our business, and meeting evolving regulatory obligations. As the Senior Manager Technology Continuity & Resilience, you will lead the strategy, governance, delivery and continuous improvement of our Technology Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring critical technology services, cloud platforms, applications and third-party dependencies can withstand major disruptions, cyber incidents and infrastructure failures. Working across Technology, Security, Risk and Operations, you will shape recovery strategies, strengthen operational resilience and drive compliance with APRA CPS 230.

Key accountabilities:

• Own and evolve Avant's enterprise Technology Disaster Recovery and Continuity frameworks
• Lead disaster recovery strategy, architecture, planning, testing and recovery readiness across complex cloud and hybrid environments
• Drive CPS 230 compliance and resilience governance, translating regulatory requirements into practical technology outcomes
• Lead business impact analysis activities and define recovery objectives for critical technology services
• Oversee resilience, continuity and operational risk management across Platform Operations
• Manage third-party and cloud provider resilience obligations, testing and assurance activities
• Prepare executive, Board and regulatory reporting on resilience performance, risks and remediation activities

Skills and experience required:

• Extensive experience in Technology Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience, Infrastructure or Platform Operations leadership
• Strong knowledge of APRA CPS 230 and experience operating within a regulated environment
• Proven capability designing and executing disaster recovery testing across complex multi-cloud environments
• Experience managing technology recovery during significant incidents, cyber events or outages
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executives, auditors, regulators and technical teams
• A strategic mindset combined with the ability to lead a small team, drive operational outcomes and continuous improvement
