Job summary

City of Canada Bay is seeking an experienced and strategic senior leader to join our Community, Culture & Leisure directorate as Manager, Recreation Services. This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse and expanding recreation portfolio that delivers community, health and wellbeing outcomes across the City.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple facilities or programs.
• Strong focus on customer/community outcomes, service excellence and contemporary recreation delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Council’s Recreation Services portfolio.
• Lead and motivate a high-performing team of operational managers.
• Oversee the effective operation of recreation centres, with emphasis on customer experience and participation.
• Manage budget, revenue growth, and identify new business opportunities.
• Drive service innovation, continuous improvement and organisational change.
• Ensure governance, risk, safety and compliance across the portfolio.
• Build relationships with Council, community orgs, and external partners.
• Provide strategic/operational/financial advice to Director and Council.
