AbbVie in Australia and New Zealand seeks a Senior Manager, Medical & Operational Excellence to lead the Medical & Operational Excellence function, aligning affiliate, Area and Global priorities into a practical roadmap. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Affairs, business, leadership, education, digital health, change management, quality, or a related field desirable.
• Significant experience (>3 years) in Medical Affairs, Medical Excellence, Medical Operations or a related function, including leadership of cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical & Operational Excellence function and translate priorities into a clear roadmap.
• Provide line management, coaching, development and performance support to the Medical Excellence Managers.
• Prioritise work across Field Medical Excellence, Head Office Medical Excellence, medical planning and execution, digital enablement and governance.
• Advise the Head of Medical Operations & Excellence on opportunities, risks and priorities.
• Shape operating models, governance, and service standards for Medical Excellence.
• Monitor capacity, risks, dependencies and benefits across the portfolio.
• Embed accountability, learning and continuous improvement across systems and processes.
• Provide strategic oversight of Medical Excellence across Field and Head Office teams.
• Lead or sponsor initiatives including capability priorities, onboarding and insights.
• Establish measures and dashboards to demonstrate value of Medical Affairs.
• Promote compliant Medical Affairs practices with fit-for-purpose approaches.
