Job summary

EY-Parthenon in Australia is seeking a Senior Manager, Deal Origination to lead and operate our Deal Origination Hub across Australia and New Zealand. You will identify attractive businesses, develop actionable M&A ideas, and convert market intelligence into transaction opportunities.

This role emphasizes leadership, market engagement with private equity and corporate clients, and the use of data, AI and technology to improve origination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in M&A, corporate finance or related environment.
• Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability.
• Ability to build relationships with owners, investors and advisers.

Responsibilities

• Originate and qualify M&A opportunities across targets and themes.
• Develop acquisition theses using sector analysis and company intel.
• Engage with market participants to develop relationships and opportunities.
• Support priority private equity accounts and targeted origination campaigns.
• Build relationships within EY's networks to develop transaction hypotheses.
• Lead the Deal Origination Hub with priorities, team development and pipeline management.
