Job summary

Adelaide University is seeking a Senior Manager, Inclusion to provide strategic leadership for an IDEAS program and to drive integration of inclusion, diversity, equity, allyship and storytelling across policy, practice and culture.

The role will mentor the Inclusion team, partner with university leaders, and use data to inform decisions while strengthening engagement, belonging and participation with robust governance and reporting frameworks.

The Senior Manager, Inclusion provides strategic leadership to a specialist team, building capability through mentorship, support and development, while leading the delivery of a whole-of-University Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Allyship and Storytelling (IDEAS) strategy. The role will drive the integration of IDEAS principles across policy, practice and culture, strengthening inclusion, equity and belonging through strategic engagement, education, storytelling and allyship initiatives.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert guidance and thought leadership, leveraging data and evidence to inform decision‑making, measure impact and drive continuous improvement. The role is equally focused on strengthening engagement, belonging and participation across the University community, while ensuring effective governance, compliance and reporting frameworks are in place. Through strategic partnerships and a proactive, evidence‑informed approach, you will help position Adelaide University as a sector leader in advancing inclusive excellence and meeting its regulatory and organisational obligations.

The team

Reporting to the Executive Director, Organisational Capability, you will collaborate closely with University leaders, the IDEAS team, Organisational Capability and Safer Community colleagues, and external partners to embed inclusive practices and drive meaningful cultural change across the institution.

The role sits within Organisational Capability, a strategic function responsible for shaping the employee experience and enabling organisational success. Through leadership development, inclusion, culture, engagement and learning initiatives, the team builds capability, fosters belonging and supports a thriving University community
