Job summary

Mane Consulting, a firm specialising in Fund Accounting & Investment Sector opportunities, is seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Reporting in Sydney, Australia. You will lead a skilled team of Finance and Accounting professionals to deliver timely analysis for clients and collaborate with stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Tax, you will ensure deliverables meet SLAs and maintain strong client relationships while driving process improvements, governance and staff

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment such as Funds Management, Custody, BIG 4 or Superannuation ideal.
• Understanding of Funds and Superannuation Sector with knowledge of Investment Markets welcome.
• Ability to identify areas of opportunity for clients and the business.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior Client Management skills with the ability to build long term professional relationships.
• The ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team with high attention to detail.
• Experience supervising, mentoring and delegating to Accounting & Finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Finance and Accounting professionals.
• Provide leadership and professional support to a 7-person team to deliver timely analysis for clients.
• Ensure deliverables to clients are efficient and accurately presented within SLAs.
• Continuously analyse and optimise capabilities, processes and system changes.
• Promote risk awareness and compliance with legislation and internal policies.
• Support setup of new investment funds, clients or fund restructures.
• Oversee self-assessment testing of procedures within the risk framework.
• Mentor staff and set clear performance expectations for growth.
