Job summary

Ledger Search Partners is seeking a senior financial due diligence professional in Sydney to support end-to-end deal execution for buy-side and sell-side transactions. You will analyze historical financials, build three-way forecasts in Excel, and translate accounting data into actionable insights for corporate clients and business owners.

The role emphasizes strong stakeholder management with CFOs, controllers, and private equity sponsors, requiring CA/CPA progression and outstanding English

Qualifications

• 6–7 years of hands-on experience in Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence, or Corporate Finance advisory.
• Experience in Big 4 or equivalent mid-tier public practice accounting environment.
• CA/CPA candidate or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent verbal and written English with ability to explain complex financial results to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deal Execution: assist in end-to-end execution of financial due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Quality of Earnings: analyze historical financials to evaluate normalized EBITDA and identify one-off expenses and risks.
• Financial Modelling: build three-way financial forecasts and scenario models in Excel.
• Reporting & Advisory: prepare due diligence reports, pitch decks, and presentations translating data into insights.
• Stakeholder Management: coordinate with target company finance teams and PE stakeholders to manage information requests and timelines.
