Job summary

Sydney Metro West seeks a senior technical leader to act as the key engineering advisor across multiple stations, delivering civil and structural leadership for nine major station packages. This highly autonomous role focuses on delivering technical outcomes safely and efficiently in a large-scale delivery program.

The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, designers and delivery teams, applying extensive rail and infrastructure experience to influence design and construction

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with 10+ years delivering major rail or complex transport projects.

This role requires regular engagement with contractors and stakeholders across all station packages and will suit someone who enjoys being close to delivery, influencing outcomes and working independently in a large-scale, fast-paced infrastructure environment.

Key responsibilities

• As a senior technical leader, you will act as the key engineering advisor across multiple stations, with your focus shifting depending on project priorities and delivery needs.
• This is a highly autonomous role where you'll work across a broad range of complex engineering challenges, ensuring technical outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Provide specialist civil and structural engineering expertise across Sydney Metro West, working closely with implementation teams, package leads and delivery partners to support the successful design and construction of nine major station packages.
• Providing civil and structural engineering leadership across station and rail infrastructure packages.

What you need

• You are a degree-qualified engineer with more than 10 years' experience delivering major rail, station or complex transport infrastructure projects, with particularly strong expertise in civil and structural engineering.
• You have developed your career in large, multidisciplinary project environments and are comfortable navigating both design and construction challenges while providing practical, solution-focused advice.
• You bring demonstrated experience working closely with contractors, designers and project delivery teams, ideally within major rail or station environments.
