Job summary

Australian Red Cross is seeking a Senior Manager – Workforce Capability & Engagement to lead a nationwide, scalable emergency services workforce. You will drive workforce strategies for disaster resilience, response and recovery, including volunteer planning, wellbeing and engagement.

In this role you will align workforce models with risk, goals and best practice, operating across multi-jurisdictional environments to ensure readiness and strong stakeholder relations.

Qualifications

• Seasoned Manager with experience in workforce, volunteer management or emergency services.
• Proven ability to lead national portfolios and deliver complex workforce programs.
• Experience designing scalable workforce strategies aligned to organisational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead nationwide workforce planning, capability development and engagement.
• Design, implement and continuously improve workforce strategies for disaster resilience.
• Oversee wellbeing, engagement and alignment of workforce models across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to mobilise readiness.
