Job summary

Australian Red Cross in Darwin is seeking a Senior State Manager - Programs to lead strategic and operational management of state-wide programs. You will supervise a dispersed workforce of staff and volunteers and broker collaborations across local, regional, and government partners.

About the role

The Senior (State) Manager - Programs is responsible for the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of state/territory-wide programs. Areas of support include the participation and inclusion of migrants in transition; individual and community emergency resilience, preparedness and recovery; and the delivery of strategically aligned community programs.

You will lead a geographically dispersed workforce of staff and volunteers and be responsible for brokering local, regional, and state/territory sector, community and government collaborations and partnerships.

Day to day, you will:
  • Ensure programs are designed and delivered to meet full compliance with contractual, legislative, and quality standards requirements.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities at the local, regional, and state/territory level aligned to our migration and emergency services sub-strategies.
  • Represent on relevant local, regional and state/territory committees, networks, meetings, and forums and promotion of Red Cross services
  • Develop program budgets and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the financial performance to ensure budget and revenue parameters are met

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award level 6, Red Cross job grade 7, salary from $120,000 + super + salary packaging.
