• Experience in audit, assurance, governance, risk management or compliance within a complex organisation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex stakeholder environments to deliver practical outcomes.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a background in governance, risk or assurance functions.
• Proactive, curious and relationship-focused with the ability to influence stakeholders across a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, assurance, risk and business continuity activities across Shared Services.
• Manage high-volume internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely responses and effective implementation of audit findings and recommendations.
• Oversee the branch risk register and control environment, proactively identifying risks and control gaps.
• Drive business resilience planning and testing to ensure critical services can continue during outages or incidents.
• Partner with stakeholders across Shared Services, Finance, Audit, Risk and Transport divisions to strengthen governance practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data and insights to identify issues before they become problems.
• Develop and support a team of assurance professionals, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
• Demonstrate strong leadership in audit, assurance, governance, risk management or compliance within a complex organisation.
