Job summary

Transport For NSW is seeking a Manager Assurance to lead the development and implementation of a risk-based assurance framework across bus operator accreditation schemes. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, audit oversight and safety performance to enable informed decision making.

You will monitor compliance, identify risks, drive targeted audits and education programs, and work with operators, auditors and internal stakeholders to improve outcomes over a 12-month period.

Qualifications

• Experience in assurance, audit, risk management or regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical assurance activities.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder engagement capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a risk-based assurance framework across bus operator accreditation schemes.
• Monitor compliance, identify emerging risks and trends, and recommend targeted audits, education and regulatory interventions.
• Analyse audit findings, assurance data and Safety Management System performance to support evidence-based decision making.
• Drive the implementation of a new Digital Assurance Tool to support consistent assurance and regulatory practices.
• Partner with operators, auditors, industry representatives and internal stakeholders to improve compliance outcomes and safety performance.
