Veolia is seeking a Senior Management Accountant in Pyrmont, NSW, to partner with our NSW Water operations and strengthen financial performance across a multi-site business.

You will own the full financial cycle—from journals and month-end reporting to invoicing, budgets and forecasts—and travel to various sites as needed. The role offers a flexible, hybrid working environment and opportunities to broaden experience within our finance department.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity.
• Commercial acumen – understand business drivers and link financial results to operational performance.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate at all levels and meet tight deadlines.
• Membership of CA/CPA and a current Driver’s licence.

Responsabilités

• Oversee month-end activities, working capital, client billing, balance sheet reconciliations, stocktakes and capex management and reporting.
• Lead P&L reporting, financial analysis and KPI accuracy across NSW Water contracts.
• Monitor financial performance, sharing insights and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Lead annual budget and forecasts, coordinating inputs from various teams.
• Support audits, governance and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead financial projects and process improvements, while supporting the team and promoting a safe workplace.
• Manage and support a reporting Assistant Accountant, guiding their day-to-day work and development.
