Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a 14-month fixed-term contract based at Pyrmont, NSW. You will support monthly and year-end closes, prepare journals, and reconcile balance sheets while collaborating with Commercial Business Analysts and Finance Managers.

The role offers exposure to a variety of corporate accounting activities and opportunities for professional growth, with on-site parking and access to transport nearby.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree.
• Studying towards CPA/CA.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close processes.
• Perform year-end close processes.
• Prepare journals to close out reporting periods.
• Prepare Balance Sheet GL reconciliations.
• Assist internal and external audits.
• Drive process improvement and system enhancements.
