Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Melbourne is seeking an experienced senior trauma nurse to lead the major trauma team across the patient pathway, ensuring timely assessments, investigations and prompt treatment in line with protocols and standards.

You will chair daily trauma ward rounds, coordinate transfer and discharge planning, liaise with regional units, support rehabilitation pathways with therapy teams, and contribute to data collection and KPI reporting while

Qualifications

• Lead trauma patient assessments and ensure investigations per protocols.
• Chair daily major trauma ward rounds and complete tertiary surveys.
• Liaise with regional trauma units to ensure patient flow and reverse transfers.
• Act as senior nurse for trauma team calls when on duty.
• Provide clinical expertise within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support development of trauma services through evidence-based practice.
• Alert management to access/capacity issues promptly.
• Engage with patients and families to address needs and maintain communication.
• Develop auditable standards of care and present reports.
• Attend major trauma meetings and contribute to data collection.
