Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a Coordinator Major Projects in Sydney to lead a portfolio of high-profile capital works. You will oversee planning, procurement, contract administration, and governance while directing a team of project managers and design professionals.

With strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills, you will drive on-time, on-budget delivery and align projects with council strategic objectives, ensuring long-term community value.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major capital works, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership experience managing complex projects, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-value construction contracts and manage commercial, contractual and project risks.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance across a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
• Prepare reports, briefings and recommendations for Executive leadership and Councillors.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing major projects team.
