Job summary

Nu-Pure Beverages is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead electrical and automation improvements at our Truganina facility. You will own complex faults, drive reliability, and collaborate with production and engineering to optimise performance.

This permanent, Monday–Friday day shift role offers opportunity to work with high-speed beverage lines (Krones, Kosme) and contribute to preventive maintenance, commissioning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Experience in high-speed FMCG beverage manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial automation.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Own complex equipment faults and recurring reliability issues.
• Diagnose issues across electrical, automation, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Support PLCs, control systems, sensors, drives and automation equipment.
• Plan and complete preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance.
• Investigate root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, modifications and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve plant performance.
• Work with Production to improve equipment operation and changeovers.
• Coach operators in equipment care and maintenance practices.
• Contribute to maintenance planning, documentation and spare-parts management.
• Support contractors and other technicians when specialist expertise is required.
• Ensure maintenance meets safety, food quality, GMP and HACCP.

Are you an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving complex problems, improving equipment performance and sharing your technical knowledge with others?

Nu-Pure Beverages is looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician with strong electrical and automation capability to join our Maintenance team at our Truganina manufacturing facility.

This is not a role where you will simply respond to electrical faults. You will be a trusted technical specialist who takes ownership of equipment reliability, investigates recurring issues and works across maintenance, production and engineering to improve how our plant operates.

You will work with advanced, high-speed manufacturing equipment and play an important role in preventive maintenance, automation, fault-finding, commissioning, and continuous improvement.

Best of all, this is a permanent Monday-to-Friday day-shift position, with no night shift or rotating roster.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will help keep our manufacturing operations safe, reliable and performing at their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of complex equipment faults and recurring reliability issues


• Diagnosing problems across electrical, automation, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems


• Supporting PLCs, control systems, sensors, drives and industrial automation equipment


• Planning and completing preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance


• Investigating root causes and implementing practical, long-term solutions


• Supporting equipment installations, commissioning, modifications and upgrades


• Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve plant performance


• Working closely with Production to improve equipment operation and changeovers


• Coaching operators in equipment care, fault identification and maintenance practices


• Contributing to maintenance planning, documentation and spare-parts management


• Supporting contractors and other technicians when specialist expertise is required


• Ensuring maintenance activities meet safety, food quality, GMP and HACCP requirements

You will work with industry-leading beverage manufacturing equipment, including Krones and Kosme production lines.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who sees themselves as more than an electrician.

You will be a well-rounded maintenance professional who is comfortable working across different technologies, taking ownership of problems and helping others build their technical capability.

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

• A current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence


• Experience in a high-speed FMCG, food, beverage or automated manufacturing environment


• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability


• Experience with PLCs, industrial automation and control systems


• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems


• The ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation


• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability


• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during breakdowns


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production


• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement

Experience with Siemens PLCs, SCADA systems, VSDs, Krones, Kosme or other high-speed packaging equipment will be highly regarded.

A Certificate IV in Electrotechnology or a related automation qualification would also be advantageous.
