Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities on site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will coordinate preventative, predictive, and corrective programs and drive improvements in OEE while maintaining safety, environmental and quality standards.

Reporting to operations, you will plan maintenance, manage budgets and resources, select contractors, and mentor high-performing teams

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical and electrical maintenance programmes on large-scale sites.
• Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance across shifts.
• Strong focus on safety, environment and quality standards.
• Experience managing contractors and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the site.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets.
• Monitor maintenance performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive initiatives to improve OEE and asset reliability.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for upcoming shifts and shutdown periods.
• Engage, select, and manage contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture aligned with Zero Harm objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, environmental, and company requirements.
• Participate in safety audits, plant inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
