Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities on site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant and equipment. You will support production teams to achieve operational excellence by improving OEE, delivering maintenance KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Experience as maintenance supervisor or leader in manufacturing, quarrying, construction materials, mining, or heavy industry.
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the site.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets.
• Monitor maintenance performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Drive initiatives to improve OEE and asset reliability.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for upcoming shifts and shutdowns.
• Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and inventory requirements.
• Engage and manage contractors to ensure safe, timely, and quality work.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture aligned with Zero Harm objectives.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, environmental, and company requirements.
• Participate in safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
