Weir Group in Sydney is seeking a skilled Machine Tool Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of CNC and conventional machinery at the onsite Artarmon facility. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrations, and serve as a hands-on expert.

The role emphasizes using CMMS for maintenance records, collaborating with teams, and upholding safety standards. Travel is minimal, and the team values practical problem-solving and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Cert III) required.
• Extensive experience maintaining CNC and conventional machine tools (5+ years).
• Strong skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC and conventional machine tools, inspect equipment, and record results in CMMS.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments to minimize downtime.
• Conduct precision alignment, calibration, and tool changes; support machine upgrades.
• Maintain equipment availability and safety compliance onsite at Artarmon.
