Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT – Daceyville NSW is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator to enrich residents' lives by designing and delivering engaging lifestyle programs, fostering wellbeing and social connection.

You’ll work with teams, volunteers and families to plan events, coordinate celebrations and build partnerships that support independence, choice and belonging for older people in our not-for-profit aged care community.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV Leisure and Health (Essential)
• Diversional Therapy qualifications and/or Aged Care specific qualifications (Desirable)
• Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision.Knowledge of best practice approaches within diversional therapy and leisure & lifestyle service provision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning with individual residents.
• Practical knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and the Accreditation process
• Demonstrated understanding of the relevant Laws, Acts, Regulations, Charters and Codes of Practice

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver engaging lifestyle programs to promote wellbeing, independence, choice, connection and belonging for residents.
• Coordinate celebrations, events and community activities to create meaningful experiences.
• Develop partnerships and encourage resident participation to enrich daily life for residents.
