Crawford is seeking an experienced Senior Liability Adjuster to join its Sydney team. You will manage a mixed portfolio of personal injury and property liability matters, from slips, trips and falls through to catastrophic injury and fatality claims.

Qualifications

• Proven liability adjusting experience with substantial personal injury exposure.
• Mixed property liability experience is advantageous.
• Strong interviewing, statement-taking, evidence analysis and report-writing capability.
• Excellent organisation and time management across a varied claims portfolio.
• Working knowledge of liability principles and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Confident engaging insurers, lawyers, corporate and government clients, witnesses and claimants.

Responsibilities

• Manage clients, competing priorities and claim milestones; negotiate settlements where instructed.
• Investigate personal injury and property liability claims, including incidents where a claim is anticipated.
• Interview claimants, insureds, employees and witnesses, and obtain clear signed statements.
• Reconciling competing accounts and gather supporting evidence for liability assessment, litigation and discovery.
• Deliver high-quality reports with clear findings and strategic recommendations.
• Apply relevant legal principles, legislation, codes of practice and Australian Standards.
