Job summary

Haylo People Pty Ltd in Sydney is recruiting a Senior Legal Group Manager to lead its specialised insurance legal function within a leading workers' compensation organisation. This senior leadership role shapes legal strategy, leads a high-performing team and influences outcomes across complex and litigated claims.

The position offers hybrid work (up to 2 days in the office), a salary of AUD 160,000–170,000 plus super, and the opportunity to drive strategic change across the legal and claims

Qualifications

Tertiary legal qualifications with NSW practising certificate.
Extensive experience in workers' compensation and personal injury law.
Experience leading legal teams in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

Lead the legal strategy and operational performance of the function.
Manage and develop a team of Lawyers and Legal Specialists.
Provide strategic oversight of complex and litigated matters.
Manage external legal panels, budgets and commercial arrangements.
Partner with senior claims and business leaders to improve outcomes.
Lead legal process transformation and AI integration.
Build relationships with employers, brokers, regulators and providers.
