Job summary

Bridgestone Mining Solutions Australia (BMSA) is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead disputes, governance and risk across Australia with roles in Adelaide, Perth or Sydney. You will partner with the Executive Leadership Team to protect the organisation’s interests and oversee company secretarial activities.

You hold a JD or LLB, are admitted with an unrestricted practising certificate and have at least 7 years PQE, with willingness to travel interstate and full work rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• JD or LLB is required to practice law in Australia.
• Admitted Australian Legal Practitioner with current status.
• Unrestricted practising certificate held.
• Minimum 7 years PQE in legal roles.
• Experience advising on governance, regulatory and commercial matters.
• Willingness to travel interstate and work across Australia.
• Current work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of legal disputes and external advisers.
• Provide strategic governance, compliance and risk advice.
• Partner with Executive Leadership to support business objectives.
• Oversee corporate governance and company secretarial activities.
• Enable informed decision making across the business.
• Develop and improve legal frameworks and contract processes.
• Act as Company Secretary for Board and subsidiaries.
