Job summary

Pinsent Masons Vario, based in Sydney, is seeking a front-end construction lawyer to support a leading international property and construction group with complex urban regeneration, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

The role requires drafting and negotiating a range of construction contracts, providing procurement and tender advice, and advising on risks at senior stakeholder level. Collaboration with external counsel is also a key aspect of the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.
• Experience at a top international law firm or equivalent in-house/secondment.
• Flexible, communicative and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a range of construction contracts (including D&Cs, contractor agreements, subcontracts and supply agreements, JV agreements and project delivery agreements).
• Provide legal advice on construction and infrastructure law, including procurement strategy and tender processes.
• Support project teams during bid and tender phases.
• Advise senior stakeholders on commercial and legal risks associated with major projects.
• Collaborate with external counsel where specialist advice is required.
