Zusammenfassung

UNSW is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Design (Level C) to lead engaging learning activities, deliver high-quality teaching, and drive innovative, evidence-informed approaches to student learning.

The role involves teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate design programs, supporting progression, and developing staff capacity through modern teaching methods. The position reports to the Art & Design Head of School with no direct reports.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in design or related discipline.
• Experience teaching integrated or interdisciplinary design at tertiary level.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud at minimum.
• Knowledge of practice-based approaches to design.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum design.
• Understanding of current trends in the design industry.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate and articulate a clear teaching philosophy to inspire students.
• Deliver classes, assess learning and support undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Lead development of learning activities, teaching resources and assessments.
• Experiment with teaching methods to improve outcomes and staff capacity.
• Apply evidence-informed approaches to teaching effectiveness.
• Support student progression and employability through mentoring.
• Manage course administration and quality assurance.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in pedagogy and accreditation requirements.
