Job summary

Central Coast Council NSW is seeking a Section Manager Roads and Drainage Design to lead the multidisciplinary civil design and project development teams across roads, drainage, bridges, and related infrastructure for the Central Coast. The role involves directing investigations, design, modelling, cost estimation, and stakeholder engagement to deliver capital works and asset renewal programs.

A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and extensive leadership experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or extensive contemporary experience in leading civil infrastructure design.
• Proven leadership experience in a large, complex organisation with ability to develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in planning, investigating and designing road and drainage infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing capital works programs, resources, consultants and stakeholders to meet schedule, budget and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary civil design and project development teams.
• Direct investigation, design, modelling, drafting, cost estimation and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with internal design services and external consultants from initiation to construction handover.
• Ensure quality customer service and clear technical leadership for community and stakeholders.
