Mediix Recruitment Pty Ltd. is partnering with a well-loved paediatric therapy clinic in Melbourne to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatrics and neurodivergent families.

You will shape how OT is delivered alongside strong speech pathology and psychology teams, supervise juniors by year two, and influence referral pathways, group programs, and FCA processes. The clinic offers a supportive, therapist-owned culture with admin support and a sensory gym.

• 3+ years' paediatric experience, neurodivergent Caseload preferred
• Comfortable shaping OT delivery within an emerging discipline

Responsibilities

• Shape how OT is delivered in the clinic, including referral pathways and group programs
• Collaborate with the Clinic Director and receive external supervision from a senior OT
• Supervise junior OTs by year two as caseload grows

About The Clinic

Our client is a well-loved, therapist-owned paediatric allied health clinic supporting neurodivergent children and their families. Their speech pathology and psychology streams are humming, and they're now investing seriously in growing their OT discipline — with the right senior OT at the centre of it.

They're small enough that your voice genuinely matters, and mature enough that you'll walk into structure, admin support, and a purpose-built sensory gym on day one.

About The Role

You’ll help shape how OT lives inside the clinic — from referral pathways and group program design, to how OT FCAs and therapy are introduced to families already engaged with the speech and psych teams. You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with the Clinic Director and have external supervision from a senior OT, calibrated to your level and goals.

By year two, as the caseload grows, you’ll begin supervising junior OTs and have an increasing say in how the team is built.

A picture of what a week might look like:

• Monday: two individual therapy sessions, a family consultation, team lunch, a cross-disciplinary case chat with one of the speechies, two afternoon sessions
• Wednesday: an assessment, report writing, team lunch, an hour planning FCA delivery within the clinic, two afternoon sessions

The mix will shift as the discipline matures — and that's the point.

• $110k-$130k package (inclusive), negotiable based on experience and what you bring
• $1,500 PD budget plus dedicated internal PD time each month

• 3 paid Elevate Days per year (team-building, no clients)

About You

• AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist
• 3+ years' experience, ideally with paediatric and neurodivergent caseloads

• Comfortable working in an emerging discipline — you create structure rather than wait for it
• Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
