Job summary

Limber Recruitment is seeking a Senior Lawyer with administrative law and statutory interpretation experience for a secondment within a Commonwealth Agency. The assignment covers a variety of legal projects across government and involves engaging with senior stakeholders.

Role requires current practicing certificate (or ability to obtain) and baseline security clearance. Secondment to May 2027 with locations in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney; daily rate $900–$1400 including super.

Qualifications

• Current practising certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Experience advising on Commonwealth administrative law and automated decision making is highly regarded.
• Baseline security clearance or ability to obtain is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work as a secondee within the Commonwealth client’s in‑house legal team.
• Provide advice on statutory interpretation and administrative law issues.
• Advise on program legislation and social security/family assistance law matters.
